This is becoming a nasty habit… (slash super fun way to spend my weekend nights because I picture all of your cute faces/comments when I am writing these posts…)  Promise I actually have a great excuse this time.  I just landed from a 24-hour family trip to Utah and am finally tucked away on my couch (bundled up of course) ready to share this AMAZING bread recipe with you!

I LOVE bread and could really never live without it.  There is nothing better than pulling a freshly baked loaf out of the oven.  The problem is the task of making your own delicious bread sounds soo intimidating!  Fear not, my friends, you can now do it! Here it is:

Recipe

Ingredients:

3 cups whole wheat flour/white whole wheat flour/all purpose flour/bread flour (I have also substituted 1-2 to 1 cup of my whole wheat flour with oat flour – I did in the loaf pictured – and it is a tad bit more crumbly but still super delicious!)

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 tsp kosher salt (or any salt is fine)

2 tablespoons honey

2 teaspoons yeast

11/4 cups warm water

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Combine flour, warm water and yeast in a large bowl until yeast dissolves.  Cover and let sit for 30 minutes.  Add olive oil, honey, and salt and knead until combined.  Cover and let sit for 30 minutes.  Knead again and place dough in bread pan and let rice for 30 minutes until dough fills out bread pan.  Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes or until top is golden brown and wa la (sp?)!

Promise friends, I have tried millions of bread recipes before this one and most of the time end up with cardboard bricks. If I can do it, you sure can!

Happy baking!

Much Love,

Ally
