I am so excited to share the BOMBDEST green smoothie recipe ever. It is really amazing. So to tell you how good it is, my aunt Becca has been hating on my green smoothie creations for months and months and last weekend I finally force fed her a bite (and then another, and then another, and then another) and she was dying with green delight! She LOVED it and is super weird about texture, “health” foods, and lots of other stuff. So….. if SHE loves it……
Here is the recipe (for 3 – 4 servings):
– High speed blender (I use my Vitamix)
– 1 orange
– 1/2 avocado (I know, sounds weird, but I love incorporating this healthy fat and it makes the smoothie sooo creamy!)
– 4 cups frozen greens (I bought the “Power Greens” from Costco that includes spinach, swiss chard, and kale)
– 2 cups frozen mango
– 2 cups frozen pineapple
– Water (add ONLY if the orange doesn’t provide enough liquid to keep the blender moving!)
Layer ingredients as listed above (starting with the orange), blend until creamy! Eric likes his in a glass with a straw but lately, I have been eating mine with my homemade quinoa granola (recipe coming soon) and a little coconut/dried currants on the top!
