Happy Valentine’s Friends!
I know, I rarely wear color, but I couldn’t resist this red number on this special day, again, from Nordstrom Rack! (The asymmetrical hemline is my favorite!)
To me, Valentine’s Day is about showing love, so I wanted to share this little story that made me so happy. (I asked permission to tell the story, but will change the name just to be safe!)
One day, three women went to get pedicures. A good pedicure session turns great if fraught with truthful, back-and-forth conversation amongst friends. The three women adore each other, and feel safe amongst each other, so began to openly share the personal struggles that each were dealing with. One of the women (Jane) talked about her incredibly tough familial situation, in which her dearest family member is caught in a losing battle against an impossible disease. Jane, a strong and courageous woman, wasn’t looking for pity, or attention, but just wanted to share what she was going through with her good friends, while soaking her pretty little toes. The three got up to pay, and the cashier excitedly told Jane that her pedicure had been paid for. What an amazing act of love that is! A perceptive listener performed the purest act of charity, wanting nothing in return, and chose to remain unknown!
Here’s to Ms. Anonymous, your example is known!
Love to love you all,
