Best Labor Day Sales AND a Look!
Hello Dear Friends!!
First off, I am still so sorry for being a bit MIA. Remember THIS post? Where I announced my big surprise and that I was feeling SOO much better after my lame-o diagnosis? Haha well I spoke a BIT too soon I think! Despite the miracle pill that is Zofran, I am still throwing up kind of a lot and am feeling better than the beginning only because I think I am used to it (or maybe tougher?) compared to the beginning. (22 weeks and counting my friends!!) ANYWAY, I tell you this only because I am still not able to post as much as I would like to which I am HOPING will come back so soon! And AGAIN, thank you so so much for you love and support and for sticking with me! I promise when this little thing stops trying to kill me it will be worth it for you too!!
So today I wanted to share this fun look (and PS – this dress is non-maternity AND $35 AND super flattering AND super comfortable) with you! We all know I love my neutrals so I often purchase accessories with a ton of color so I can add a little pop to my looks! This purse is a fun one! I hardly have any pink at all but love to add this feminine piece to brighten things up a bit!
ALSO, if you didn’t know, it is Labor Day Weekend and in the spirit of my last post, I wanted to share the best Labor Day Sales (with exclusive sale codes)! But first, I wanted to share a quick thought.
One of my weakest attributes is patience and I am trying so hard to improve in this area because it is soo important! One good thing about this quality is that I really feel it is one that can be worked on, and greatly improved (despite our natural tendencies). I often think about patience on a grand scale: patience figuring out my career path or Eric’s career path; patience in waiting for loved-ones long sufferings to be over etc. However, I am now really focusing on practicing patience on the shorter term! For example: patience with Dane when he poops 27.2 times a day, patience with Eric when he does chores in his time (and not my warp-speed time), patience with clients when this is the 5th time we have gone over the same material, patience to stop talking/breathe for a second before I say something I don’t really mean, and patience with myself when I sleep in too much to fit in a workout in the morning. I have found a few things when working on this skill. 1) Life gets much less stressful because my desire to control things unfolds and I let things happen (exactly the way they would even when I was trying to control things), 2) I am happier because I am calmer when these sorts of things happen and can actually enjoy them while they are happening, and 3) my loved ones feel much more loved because I am happier and nicer when these things are happening!
I love this quote by Joyce Meyer:
Patience is not simply the ability to wait – it’s how we behave while we’re waiting.
Question: Is patience a difficult quality for anyone else? If so, how have you worked to change it?
